AEHL November Wrap-Up

As November play comes to an end for the Alberta Elite Hockey League, the Fort Saskatchewan U18 AAA Rangers, St. Albert U16 AAA Flyers, and St. Albert U15 AAA Sabres atop their respective divisions.

U18 AAA

October’s U18 AAA Source for Sports Player of the Month, Airdrie forward Cooper Brown, continues to lead the way with 27 points, while also claiming the top spot in goals, with 17. Meanwhile, Brown’s teammate, Matthias Bessey holds the lead in assists with 18.

In goal, Fort Sask netminder Carson Burkart remains undfeated with a league-leading eight wins in as many starts, While Lethbridge’s Erick Roest boasts the best GAA (1.64) and SV% (.946), with Calgary goaltender Nicholas Jones leading the way in shutouts with three.

October’s U16 AAA Source for Sports Player of the Month, St. Albert forward Cash Carter once again heads into a new month as the league-leader in points (26) and assists (16), while Carter’s teammate Cohen Daoust sits in a four-way tie with Calgary Royals forward Hudson Binder, Fort Sask forward Ryan Heuser, and Lloydminster forward Jaxson Toutant, all with 13 goals each.

Between the pipes, St. Albert goaltender Hudson Sedo heads into December as the top U16 AAA netminder with a perfect 8-0-0 record, to go along with a league-best 1.04 GAA and .952 SV%. Sedo and Calgary Bulls goalie Kael Svenson each have a pair of shutouts.

Lloydminster forward Aiden Foster leads all U15 AAA skaters in goals (20) and points (30) through the first two months of the season, while Fort Sask’s Kale Dach continues to lead the way in assists, with 17 in 12 games.

Goaltenders Matthew Kondro (St. Albert) and Hudson Perry (GPAC) are tied for the league-lead in wins with 8 apiece, while  Red Deer netminder Adam Jeffries boasts both the top GAA (1.43) and SV% (.948), to go along with a pair of shutouts.

U15 AAA Goalie Stats >

December is set to kick off with a bang for the U18 AAA and U16 AAA divisions, as the inaugural AEHL Showcase takes place in Edmonton December 2-5 at the Terwillegar Rec Centre. The showcase comes just before the WHL Draft, and all games are regular season games.

One-day passes are $10 each, while a tournament pass is $25. All games will be broadcast on HockeyTV.
