Dates and locations have been confirmed for the 2021-22 inaugural U16/U18 and U15 Showcases for the Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL).
The U16 and U18 Showcase is set to run December 2-5 in Edmonton, while the U15 Showcase will take place February 3-6 in Leduc
“With the inaugural season of the Alberta Elite Hockey League mostly hindered by the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s encouraging to be able to look forward to 2021-22, and plan events such as the AEHL Showcase,” said Neil Robertson, Chair of Hockey Alberta’s Elite Male Hockey Committee.
The U15 showcase will see all 20 teams participate, with all games taking place at the Leduc Rec Centre. The U16 and U18 showcase, which will take place just prior to the 2021 WHL Draft, will involve all 37 teams.
“We’re very excited to be able to bring the Showcase events to Edmonton and Leduc this winter,” said AEHL Vice-Chair Aaron Rawlake. “With the U16 and U18 showcases taking place just prior to the 2021 WHL Draft, it provides players one last opportunity to show what they have to offer.”
