For the first time since 2014, the CAC Canadians are U16 AAA Provincial Champions.
CAC defeated the Calgary Royals 5-2 on Sunday in Grande Prairie to capture their second league title – and the Alberta Elite Hockey League‘s first U16 AAA banner since its transition from the Alberta Minor Midget Hockey League.
Earlier on Sunday, the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers earned a bronze medal with a 6-2 victory of the NWCAA Flames.
The Provincial tournament, hosted by the GPAC Storm, was the first since since 2019. The tournament also marked the final games of the 2021-22 AEHL season.
