AEHL’s Players of the Month – October

The Alberta Elite Hockey League is pleased to announce Connor Knorr, Taylor Reimer and Ossie McIntyre as the Players of the Month for October.

U18 AAAConnor Knorr (Goaltender – Sherwood Park Ennis Kings)

Knorr suited up in five games for Sherwood Park during the month of October and ensured his Kings took home victories in four of those contests. He finished the month with a sparkling 1.60 goals against average and a .952 save percentage. The young goaltender also never allowed more than two goals in any of his October starts.

U17 AAATaylor Reimer (Forward –  Knights of Columbus Centennials)

Reimer led all players in scoring for the month of October despite playing fewer games than the second and third leading scorers. He put up five goals and 16 points in seven games. More impressive is only four of those points came on the powerplay.

“Taylor has rebounded back from an injury-riddled season last year,” said KC head coach Scott Lancaster. “He is now playing with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove.”

U15 AAAOssie McIntyre (Forward – St. Albert Sabres)

McIntyre suited up for seven games in the month of October for St. Albert, tallying 16 goals and 26 points. He accounted for 27 per cent of his team’s goals and has been instrumental to the Sabres undefeated start to the season.

“Ossie has had a great start to the season,” said Sabres head coach Geoff Giaccobo. “His offensive stats speak for themselves. Ossie is a competitor over 200 feet and equally effective in all three zones.”
